 | BCS is licensed by the Victorian Bar Council to operate as a barristers' clerk. It was established in 1990 and is corporate trustee of the Barristers' Clerking Services Unit Trust, the unit holders of which are the barrister members of List A at the Victorian Bar. The company and its clerks have served as clerk to the barristers on List A since the inception of the List in March 1990.
List A is an association of more than 90 barristers at the Victorian Bar in most cases specializing in either commercial and equity, town planning or taxation law. It was formed in March 1990 as the first List at the Victorian Bar to own and operate their own clerking service.
