Liz graduated from Nottingham University with a degree in Physics. She joined A.A.Thornton & Co. in 1987, qualifying as a Chartered Patent Attorney the same year and a European Patent Attorney in 1998. She became a partner in 1992. Her clients include major multinationals, SMEs and individual inventors and her case load encompasses a wide range of technology-based applications. These are mainly in the UK, Europe and the US, but increasingly in China, India and Japan too. Liz also provides validity and infringement opinions, working with Counsel when necessary. She is active in organising Continuing Professional Development seminars within the firm and for the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys. |
