We are a fiercely independent law firm in Western Australia.
We are not tied to any major organisation and have as our sole objective doing the very best for our clients in the same way we would expect any professional consulted by us to do the best for us.
We have lawyers covering a broad range of legal services (see “Areas of Law”).
Our head office is in the Central Business District of the City of Perth – near State and Federal courts, government registries and in the heart of the financial and corporate sectors.
We have network connections to law firms in all States and Territories in Australia through our “Australian Legal Network” and connections with a number of law firms worldwide through our “International Legal Network”, both networks having been founded and administered by us.
We are widely regarded in Western Australia as the best known “all services” law firm for business and private clients.
What We Do
We have a range of clients in the Corporate Services Division from husband and wife business partnerships to large property developers, both within Australia and internationally (for example, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and the United Kingdom). We advise financial planners, accountants and other professionals. We give industry focussed specialist business advice to trades and industry suppliers and small and medium enterprise businesses.
The Commercial Litigation Division has assisted clients in Court representation at all levels, including Magistrate, District, Supreme and Federal Courts and specialist tribunals on issues ranging from corporate governance, shareholders disputes, property and contractual disputes, to restraint of trade and Trade Practices disputes.
Our Personal Injury and Insurance Services Division has the distinction of notching up three “wins” in the High Court, a rare feat bearing in mind that permission is only granted to appeal to the High Court in special cases of national legal importance to Australia. In doing so, we assisted our clients on a "No Success – No Legal Fees" basis because of the importance of the legal issues to be raised with the highest court in Australia.
Our Family Law Services Division has conducted cases from simple issues to complex matters, arising from marriage and defacto relationships, including property settlements, superannuation issues, family companies, trust matters, children's issues, divorce and binding financial agreements.
The Estate Planning Group within the Commercial/Corporate Services Division is highly regarded and numbers amongst its high profile clients members of Parliament, sports celebrities and well known businessmen. |
