Ian Curtis joined Warner Goodman & Streat in 1975 and qualified as a Solicitor in 1977. After qualification he dealt with a mixture of Family Law and Conveyancing.
He became a Partner in the firm in 1980 and from 1986 to 1991 was the Partner in Charge of the firm’s office at Waterlooville dealing mainly with Residential and Commercial Conveyancing.
In 1991 Ian was appointed as the firm’s first full-time Managing Partner and as such became responsible for developing the firm’s Business Plan and Strategic Policy.
Major decision making is handled by a Management Team headed by Ian and assisted by the Partners in Charge of the firm’s offices in Southampton and Portsmouth, the Staff Partner and the Head of Finance.
He has overseen a significant growth in the firm from a total staff base of 93 in 1991 to its current level in 2002 over 230.
He is the appointed Compliance Officer for the firm’s Financial Services Department and is also responsible for the firm’s internal Complaints Procedure and for Quality Control and Client Care. |
