Career :	Madeleine qualified as a solicitor in 1987 and then pursued her career in private practice in the South East of England. From the outset she focused on Property Law, establishing her position in a large solicitors firm as a senior commercial property lawyer. She gave up her position as a partner to move to the West Country where she joined the GPL in 1991. Since then she has undertaken heavy case loads centred on commercial and residential conveyancing transactions. She has been involved in all manner of transactions ranging from airports through to high value office blocks. She has also played an instrumental role in the property element of the privatisation of a large government body. As Managing Partner she is currently responsible for all staff and quality control issues within the firm. She is the liaison partner for the majority of the clients including, for example, the Ministry of Defence, HMPS, Parliamentary Estates Directorate and the Medical Research Council. In her role she is also the Liaison Partner for a number of local authorities.
