Mark Chapple, highly regarded as "realistically commercial but with a hard edge if litigation is required" (Australian Legal Profiles 1995/96), heads one of Australia's largest and most experienced specialist insolvency, restructuring and litigation groups.
Mark and his team have provided advice to banks and other financial institutions, liquidators, receivers and creditors in relation to most of Australia's major insolvencies over the last 10 years.
Mark is a visiting lecturer at the University of Technology where he devised and presents two Masters and Doctorate courses in insolvency and corporate reconstruction, he is an accredited mediator (specialising in the mediation of banking and insolvency issues) and is a respected author on a wide range of insolvency issues. Current publications under preparation include a comprehensive loose leaf legal service on "Voluntary Administrations and Deeds of Company Arrangements".
Mark became a partner of Baker & McKenzie in 1989 and is a current member of the Management Board of Baker & McKenzie's Australian Offices (among other responsibilities). He is a senior member of Baker & McKenzie's Asia Debt Restructuring Team. |
