Mark joined Simmons & Simmons as an Articled Clerk in 1983, and qualified as a solicitor in the London litigation department in 1985. He was made a partner in 1990. He was appointed Managing Partner of the firm's litigation department in 1997, head of the financial markets department in 2000 and Managing Partner of the global firm in March 2005. Mark is one of a limited number of regulatory lawyers who has been invited to join the FSA's Lawyers Consultative Group, a forum at which the FSA shares its policy thinking with and seeks feedback from leading regulatory lawyers. |
