In the recent past, he has been the family law partner at a Surrey-based practice and has also established and headed the family law department of a central London firm. He also previously ran a busy family law practice in south-west London.
Since he was admitted as a solicitor in 1984, Martin has developed extensive expertise in family law. He is a member of the Law Society's Family Law Panel, a general member of its Mediation Panel and a member of Resolution, the national organization of family lawyers committed to non-confrontational divorce, separation and other family problems.
Martin trained with the Solicitors Family Law Association, the forerunner to Resolution as an “all issues” (relationship breakdown, financial/property and children matters) family mediator.
Martin has vast experience in acting for husbands, wives, same sex and cohabiting couples in all areas of relationship breakdown, including cases involving substantial asset cases and those with an international element. He is committed, wherever possible, to resolving family matters in a non-confrontational way while delivering the strongest possible representation of his clients' interests where appropriate. |
