 | McLean McKenzie & Topfe firm was established in Burnie in the 1960s by the late Basil Sproule, who went on to become a respected Tasmanian Magistrate. In 1969 Basil was joined by current partner Geoff McLean and the firm became known as Sproule & McLean. Geoff operated the practice on his own for seven years after Basil Sproule was appointed to the bench. In 1978 the firm took the name McLean & Phillips and in 1979 it became known as McLean Phillips & Bartlett. In 2004 it was renamed McLean McKenzie & Topfer.
The firm's three partners (Geoff McLean, Colin McKenzie and Leanne Topfer), two solicitors (Kristen McLagan and Luke Emeny) and conveyancing clerk (Tonya Cunningham) all work in the Burnie office.
The firm's Smithton staff (Denise Morgan – conveyancing clerk, and Pamela Korpershoek – administration and probate clerk) live and work in Circular Head, and are supported by weekly visits from Geoff McLean and Leanne Topfer. |
