 | Mowll & Mowll represents a wide range of clients, from well known institutions to small businesses and private individuals. The firm concentrates only on the law, but across a broad spectrum, and has a reputation for integrity, intelligence and service.
The firm was established when Edward Worsfold Mowll set up in practice in 1871 in Castle Street, Dover, still the headquarters today. He was joined by his brother Martyn in 1889 who set up a further office in Castle Street, Canterbury. The way they would have conducted their partnership then bears little comparison to the technology-led processes of today but the same principles of integrity, intelligence and personal service remain firmly in place.
Mowll & Mowll has long been in the forefront of IT, having embraced it enthusiastically when it bought its first computer in 1983. Now, there is a modern network-linked computer on everyone's desk. There are on-line connections to the Internet and major databases including Companies House and an electronic link to NatWest bank which enables them to give instant instructions on financial transactions. They also communicate by email with many of the clients.
