Paul Carroll was appointed Managing Partner of A&L Goodbody in May 2001. A corporate finance specialist, he has advised Irish and international clients on a wide range of significant transactions. In particular, he focuses on mergers and acquisitions, flotations, foreign investment, and general corporate matters.
Paul recently advised eircom plc on its proposed €420m acquisition of Meteor Mobile Communications. He also advised eircom on its €1.3bn flotation in 2004, and on its €2.4bn refinancing in 2003, which involved the largest high yield bond ever issued in the European market (at that time).
