He is a member of the Australian Plaintiff Lawyers' Association (APLA) and a foundation national councillor and Queensland president of that association. He served as its national vice president and then as national president (1998-1999). Peter is also a director of the Civil Justice Foundation of Australia.
Peter is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) of the United Kingdom and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA) as well as being a member of its International Relations Committee. In August 2000, he was elected as one of two Australian governors of the Board of ATLA and to the position of vice president of its Internation Practice Section.
He is a member of the Queensland Law Society (QLS) and served in 1998-1999 on its Specialist Accreditation Board.
He is a member of the Aviation Law Association of Australia and New Zealand and has served as National Councillor and Queensland Chair of that association. He is also a member of the Lawyer-Pilot Bar Association. |

Peter is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia. He has practiced widely in the commercial and litigious areas of legal practice. He is an accredited personal injuries specialist. His particular interests are medical, public liability and complex litigation.
He is a regular contributor to legal journals and speaker at legal conferences.
Peter has also been involved in many campaigns aimed at preventing government and business removing basic legal rights from Queenslanders. He is a foundation member of the Qld Workers' Rights Coalition. |
