Richard Allen is a Member of the firm and the Office Managing Partner of the London office of Cozen O’Connor, LLP. Prior to joining Cozen O’Connor LLP in 1999, Dick practised at a major Seattle law firm where he was chairman of the tort and insurance practice group. Dick has practised all facets of admiralty law during his career with a special emphasis on personal injury defence and marine insurance coverage questions. He was commissioned in the Navy after college graduation and remained on active duty more than six years serving in the Pacific and as a member of the faculty of the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis. He holds the rank of Captain (Retired) in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Dick is actively involved in aviation, products liability and environmental coverage litigation. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has been chairman of the maritime litigation committee, litigation section of the American Bar Association. |
