He worked as a sole practitioner until he retired in 1945. The firm was then run by Mr W G Crisp and Mr D W Cunningham as part of the Norwich firm Cozens Hardy & Jewson, until in the 1960's Mr Crisp and Mr Cunningham decided to purchase the Thetford and Brandon offices and continue to practice under the name T E Rudling & Co.
