From the founding of the firm in 1979 by David Steele as a niche practice to serve the legal needs of all types of commercial client, Steele Raymond LLP has grown rapidly to become a leading south coast practice serving business clients of all sizes and provides the quality of service and level of expertise usually found only in London commercial law firms.

In 1988 the firm merged with the long-established private client practice of Luff Raymond & Williams in Wimbome. The Wimborne office meets the requirements of the firm's clients for private client services - domestic conveyancing, divorce, wills, estates planning etc. Steele Raymond LLP became a Limited Liability Partnership registered in England under Partnership Number OC311376 on 1st April 2005.
