Bingham’s Boston Office Ranks No. 2 on Best Places to Work List
Wednesday 17th June 2009

Bingham’s Boston office has ranked second in the large company category of the Boston Business Journal’s 2009 Best Places to Work List.

Recognized for creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions and company culture, Bingham is only one of four companies that have been on the list every year since its inception in 2003. For the two previous years, Bingham ranked fifth in the large company category.

“Making this list for the seventh year in a row is a great milestone for us,” said Boston office managing partner Ralph Martin. "We have always been in the top 10 and our move up to second place is a reflection of how people feel about working here. We hope everyone is proud of this distinction.”

More than 385 companies participated in this year’s competition. Only one other law firm made the large company list, ranking No. 13.

The rankings were compiled through a survey conducted by Quantum Workplace. Employees of nominated companies were asked to complete a 38-question online survey. Categories included work environment, work-life balance, job satisfaction, advancement opportunities, management, compensation and benefits.

As reported in a special supplement to the June 12 issue of the Boston Business Journal, Bingham was also named one of Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For earlier this year. The firm has been named to the Fortune list for five straight years.
