The Commercial Property team at West End law firm Boodle Hatfield has advised long standing clients Petticoat Lane Investments on the purchase of 33 properties in Islington from the London Borough of Islington with a value exceeding £10 million.

The portfolio comprised a mixture of retail units, residential accommodation, three surface car parks and a multi-storey car park let to NCP, and a 10,000 square foot office block in the City.

The properties formed part of a larger portfolio of 85 properties on which contracts were exchanged in August this year, with the occupiers of those properties given a right of first refusal. The majority of occupiers exercised this right.

The Boodle Hatfield team was led by Commercial Property partner Helen Streeton, with support from solicitors Helen Buzzacott, Christina Christou, Amanda Gray, and Andrejka Reynolds.

The London Borough of Islington was represented by an in-house legal team led by Kirpal Kaur.
