The award is given to organisations that demonstrate a commitment to recycling and environmental issues, and in doing so, support the City of London to achieve a cleaner environment through good waste management. The firm was also commended for its internal staff promotion and communication of green issues.

Carol Frost, Head of Facilities and Procurement for CMS Cameron McKenna is delighted with the award, “I am thrilled that we have been recognised by this award for the third successive year. This award highlights our efforts to reduce our impact on the environment. We are always looking for new ways in which we can be efficient, as shown by our new initiatives undertaken in the last year.”

Some key initiatives undertaken by the firm’s head office in the last year include ensuring 100 percent of the energy purchased is from renewable sources, and saving over one million litres of water per annum as a result of reduction measures. In addition the office does not send any waste to landfill, all waste is recycled or incinerated.
