May 2 2007 - Coffin Mew LLP, one of the leading law firms in the south of England, has announced the appointment of a new Partner and two new Associates. Dorlee Monschau, previously an Associate in the employment team at North Harbour Portsmouth, has been made a Partner. Anita Choi from the Corporate team and Paul Longman from the Commercial Property team have been made Associates.
This brings the number of Partners in the firm to 20 who work with over 220 other personnel delivering quality legal services out of four offices in Hampshire.
Dorlee Monschau, Partner - Dorlee joined the firm in June 2002 and specialises exclusively in Employment Law. She has extensive experience having undertaken substantial litigation in the employment tribunals, county courts and High Court – including a high profile case involving one of nine defendants in a multi-million pound claim involving a FTSE 250 PLC.
Anita Choi, Associate - Anita was admitted as a solicitor in July 2003 after completing her training with the firm. An integral member of the Corporate team she specialises in acquisitions and disposals of varying sizes - from complex share transactions to simple business transfers. Anita also focuses on corporate reconstructions and advises on shareholder arrangements and partnership matters.
Paul Longman, Associate - On leaving school, Paul spent 7 years in the Royal Marines leaving at the age of 24 to study a Law Degree before attending Guildford College of Law and qualifying as a Solicitor in 2001. He has worked in a niche property practice and a large regional law firm where he specialised in commercial landlord and tenant, residential development and investment. He joined the firm in 2006.
