DLA Piper today unveiled a new and innovative web-based resource for lawyers and human resources professionals: uKNOW.
uKNOW is the culmination of a project to promote global knowledge sharing and enable clients to access basic legal and business information about multiple jurisdictions. The site provides detailed advice for conducting business around the world and calls upon DLA Piper's global capabilities in employment and labour law.
The web-based knowledge portal, which will be available to DLA Piper's international clients, allows content searches by topic and country as well as providing worldwide business-centric news and legal updates. uKNOW will also provide details about employment-related client seminars and events happening in each of DLA Piper's 62 offices in 24 countries.
David Bradley, Head of Employment, Benefits and Pensions for EMEA and Joint Global Head of the group, commented: "uKNOW is a superb product. Our market research suggests that clients have an enormous appetite for accessible information of this type. uKNOW demonstrates our commitment to supporting our international clients and is a testament to the resources we hold within this firm."
"uKNOW is a tremendous resource for our clients who conduct business that crosses international borders," said Peter Pantaleo, Joint Global Leader of the Employment, Benefits and Pensions Group and Chair of the US Labour and Employment Group. "Our global platform allows us to offer high-level advice on employment issues to clients virtually anywhere in the world. uKNOW is yet another resource that our clients can rely on to help them navigate the complex issues that all international businesses must grapple with."
