Gordons is celebrating after being shortlisted in the private client award category at the 2011 Yorkshire Lawyer Awards.
The firm’s contentious will, trusts and probate team has been nominated for the award, which is supported by the Leeds Law Society and is the premier event in the region’s legal calendar.
Led by Martin Holdsworth and comprising two partners, three solicitors and a trainee solicitor, it is one of the largest teams of its type outside London.
The awards will be judged by a prestigious panel from the Yorkshire legal community including joint presidents of the awards, Jeremy Shulman of Shulmans Solicitors and Peter McCormick of McCormicks Solicitors.
Commenting on being shortlisted for the accolade, Martin said: “To be shortlisted for the Yorkshire Lawyer Award is a great achievement and one that we are very proud of. The team was only established three years ago and this award nomination recognises the ability of the team and the high regard in which they are held.”
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony being held on October 5 at the Queens Hotel in Leeds.
