Berwins Solicitors has enjoyed its best ever showing in the Legal 500 this year after being ranked in six separate areas of law.

Managing director Paul Berwin, who recently addressed members of the IT industry in Israel, was singled out by the legal industry guide for his expertise in intellectual property and IT law.

The guide states: “The excellent team at Berwins Solicitors provides expert advice on software licensing issues. Paul Berwin, who heads the team, is noted for his expertise. New clients include Sandstone Technology (Europe) and Extreme.”

Mr Berwin, who was also described by the guide as an “exceptionally good” expert in intellectual property issues, welcomed the national recognition.

“Berwins has been working nationally and internationally with the IT industry for many years and this year’s endorsement by the Legal 500, which is one of the most well-respected guides to the UK legal sector, is significant,” he said.

The Harrogate firm was also listed for its expertise in employment, family, personal tax, trusts and probate and commercial property.
