Tuesday 17th April 2007

The highly regarded property team at Hewitsons solicitors in Northampton has been further strengthened with the appointment of a new partner.

Experienced property practitioner Marc Carter who joined the team last year has now been made a partner.

He joined Hewitsons from the Liverpool office of DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary UK LLP where he was an associate. He has focused on property work since his qualification in 1988 and has particular experience in commercial development and investment and has also been involved in a number of public sector related development and regeneration projects.

He also is highly experienced in investment acquisitions and disposals for private pensions funds.

Carter commented: "Hewitsons has an excellent reputation and a broad spread of high quality clients. I am delighted that I have been made a partner and will be continuing to work with the excellent Hewitsons team.”

Hewitsons head of property Tim Richards commented: "We have been seeing a dramatic increase in the call for our services and Marc’s confirmation is a part of our planned expansion of the department to ensure our clients’ needs are met.

“We have also recently taken on two new solicitors to join the team and we are continuing to recruit.”
