Davis Polk & Wardwell advised a syndicate of underwriters represented by RBC Dominion Securities Inc. in connection with a C$2 billion offering of 56,750,000 common shares by Royal Bank of Canada. The offering consisted of a public offering in Canada and a private placement to qualified institutional buyers in the United States.

Royal Bank of Canada is the largest bank in Canada and provides personal and commercial banking, wealth and asset management services, insurance, corporate and investment banking and transaction processing services on a global basis.
