International law firm Stephenson Harwood has appointed Jeremy Sheldon and Andrew McLean as partners in its corporate practice. Jeremy joins from Fulbright & Jaworski where he has been a partner since 2007. Prior to this, he was a partner in the energy, transport and infrastructure group at Ashurst.

Andrew joins from Weil Gotshal & Manges. Previously, Andrew was at Clifford Chance. Both partners will start at Stephenson Harwood on Monday 5th September.

Jeremy has extensive experience in advising on transactions within the oil and gas sector (both upstream and downstream) and has particular expertise in M&A transactions, as well as power and energy infrastructure related projects in the UK, Europe and internationally. Jeremy's expertise also includes work in the petrochemical and energy from waste sectors.

Andrew has a broad range of experience across corporate and commercial disciplines, including working on high-value and cross-border M&A, private equity investments and complex joint ventures. He has particular expertise in the energy and renewables sector, food and drink and consumer brands, and consumer and retail financial services.

Jeremy and Andrew's appointments follow a series of hires for the corporate practice in recent months including Rebecca Carter and Jonathan Cripps from Eversheds who joined the projects team; James Tinworth who joined as a funds partner from Simmons & Simmons and Patrick Mousset who joined the Paris office as a corporate partner from Mayer Brown.
